On the morning of March 2^nd, 2026, GAO Liang, Vice President of Beijing Jiaotong University met with Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities Delegation. It’s consisted of seven renowned Spanish universities. The educational counselor and counselor of science and technology at Spanish Embassy in China accompanied the visit.

GAO Liang conveyed a warm welcome to the visit of the delegation on behalf of the university. He introduced the university history, student cultivation system, strength disciplines building, internationalization development strategy, participation in the national railway transport construction, and reviewed the long-standing cooperation history between BJTU and Spanish universities. He wished to take the delegation visit as an opportunity to proactively expand the concrete cooperation on faculty-student exchanges, degree or non-degree study in China, collaboration between universities and enterprises, and the building of overseas college for excellent engineers between BJTU and Spanish universities.

Mr. Alberto Salcincs Sácz, Director of Unit of Internationalization of Spanish Higher Education System, expressed thanks for the reception of Beijing Jiaotong University, and spoke highly of the efforts the university had made to the promotion of the Sino-Spanish Higher Education cooperation and its contribution to the national railway transport construction. He expected to fortify the cooperation between Spanish universities and BJTU on student cultivation and scientific research in a profounder and more comprehensive way.

Heads from School of Languages and Communication Studies, National College for Excellent Engineers, College of International Education, and Office of International Affairs attended the event.

The delegation took a visit to Transport Equipment Center and the Wind Tunnel Laboratory after the meeting.
