On April 18, 2015, the 13th Conference onInternational Exchange of Professionals kicked off in Shenzhen. During theopening ceremony, the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs held theCertificate Presentation Ceremony for State Specially Recruited Experts(Thousand Talent Plan). YI Weimin, Minister of Human Resources and SocialSecurity, conferred the certificates to 17 experts who were selected into the4th group of the “Thousand Talent Plan”, including Prof. Yukio Tamura fromBJTU. MA Kai (Vice Premier and member of the CPC Central Committee) and HUChunhua (CPC Secretary of Guangdong province and member of the CPC CentralCommittee) were present at the ceremony. 

On the afternoon of April 18, the State Administrationof Foreign Experts Affairs organized a seminar on “Thousand Talent Plan”.During the seminar, Prof. Yukio Tamura introduced the scientific research,talent cultivation and participation in several national-level researchprojects with related experts and scholars since he came to BJTU, which has gotunanimous recognition from all the leaders and experts. ZHANG Jianguo, Head ofthe State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, summed up in his addressthat we should continue to improve the advice mechanism of foreign experts aswell as the work network of the Foreign Experts Advisory Committee. He hopedthat the foreign experts would continue to follow China’s development and giveimpetus to the economy and social development.
