On the morning of April 14th, 2026, LI Guoxiu, Vice President of Beijing Jiaotong University, met with a delegation led by Nguyen Van Hung, President of the University of Transport and Communications (UTC), and Hoang Tung, President of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE).

LI Guoxiu extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He briefly introduced BJTU's achievements in talent cultivation, scientific research, cooperation with Vietnamese universities, and services for the national rail transit industry. He hoped that the visit would serve as a new opportunity to further expand cooperation areas, promote substantive collaboration in talent cultivation, joint research, and foreign-related training programs, so as to contribute to China-Vietnam educational, scientific and technological cooperation.
Nguyen Van Hung and Hoang Tung conveyed thanks for the reception and respectively introduced their universities' history, strength disciplines, talent development and scientific research. They spoke highly of BJTU's contributions to the national rail transit industry, and expressed willingness to enhance cooperation in talent cultivation, joint research and foreign-related training in traffic and transportation, civil engineering, architecture and art, and urban logistics.

Heads from School of Civil Engineering, Office of International Affairs, College of International Education, and School of Architecture and Design also attended the event.
Prior to the meeting, the delegation visited the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Rail Autonomous Operation.
