On the morning of April 10^th, 2026, GAO Liang, Vice President of Beijing Jiaotong University met with the scientific and educational delegation led by Qodirzoda Farhod Anvar, Vice Dean of The Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan. Delegation members also came from Ministry of Economic Development and Trade as well as China-SCO Higher Education Cooperation Center-Central Asia Center.

GAO Liang extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and he introduced the university history, strength disciplines, and internationalization development. He noted that he wished to take the delegation's visit as an opportunity to expand the concrete cooperation on talent cultivation, collaborative scientific research, and foreign-related training.

Qodirzoda Farhod Anvar was thankful for the reception of Beijing Jiaotong University. He spoke highly of the efforts the university had made to the promotion of the China-Tajikistan educational and scientific cooperation and its contribution to the China’s rail transit industry. He looked forward to  further in-depth scientific and academic cooperation between the two sides  under the strategic  guidance and support of state leaders  of both countries.

Heads from School of Computer Science & Technology, College of International Education, and Office of International Affairs attended the event. During their stay at the university, the delegation also took a visit to the University Museum and held a session with the Tajik  students studying at BJTU.

The Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan is the topmost scientific institution in Tajikistan and owns 3 branches and 20 research institutions.  It attracts the most outstanding scientists and cutting-edge academic resources in the country and has a faculty of 2000 researchers, with 35 academicians included.
