Delegation from MTR Corporation Limited Visits BJTU

On May 16th, 2024, President YU Zujun met with the visiting delegation led by Dr. LEE Kayun, Director of Passenger Services and Innovation of MTR Corporation Limited at Siyuan Building. Vice President GUAN Zhongliang also attended the meeting.

 

YU Zujun extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from MTR Corporation Limited. He indicated that during his visit to Hong Kong with his delegation earlier this year, the two sides have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on "Joint Exploration of Deploying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Signaling System and Study of establishing CTBC Application International Standard", which laid a solid foundation for cooperation in rail transit. He also expressed his expectations for both parties to continue their exploration and research on standard establishment of railway signal technology, to enhance exchanges and cooperation in areas such as professional technology research and development, transformation of scientific research achievement and talent cultivation.

 

Dr. LEE Kayun expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and presented the development history, technology research and development, market operation management of MTR. He said that the two parties have maintained a close partnership with long-term cooperation between MTR and Traffic Control Technology Co., Ltd. He hopes to deepen exchanges for the promotion of industrialization, standardization and internalization of technology research and jointly advance railway operation and construction through the platform of Innovation Research Institute of Hong Kong Railway.

The delegation from MTR Corporation Limited also visited the National Engineering Research Center of Rail Transportation Operation and Control System and conducted discussions with BJTU colleagues.

 

Officials from State Key Laboratory of Advanced Rail Autonomous Operation, Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs and Traffic Control Technology Co., Ltd. attended the meeting.
