C919项目于2007年立项，2015年完成总装下线，2017年成功首飞，2022年获得中国民用航空局颁发的型号合格证，2022年全球首架交付，2023年5月28日商业航班首飞。

C919 large passenger aircraft is the first trunk jetliner domestically developed by China with independent intellectual property right according to international airworthiness standards. In its name, “C” is the first letter of China. “9” stands for endurance in Mandarin. “19” represents its maximum passenger capacity of 192 people. It boasts a range of 4,075 to 5,555 kilometers, a maximum flying height of 12,131 meters and a cruising speed of 0.78 Mach.

The C919 project was approved in 2007. The first aircraft rolled out in 2015. The first test flight was conducted in 2017. It obtained Type Certificate from Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) in 2022. The world's first C919 aircraft was delivered in the same year. Its debut commercial flight was completed on May 28th, 2023.
