【词义解释】

世界互联网大会（World Internet Conference，简称：WIC），是由中华人民共和国倡导并每年在浙江省嘉兴市桐乡乌镇举办的世界性互联网盛会，旨在搭建中国与世界互联互通（connectivity)的国际平台和国际互联网共享共治(sharing and co-governance)的中国平台，让各国在争议中求共识、在共识中谋合作、在合作中创共赢。首届世界互联网大会于2014年11月19日至21日在乌镇举办。2019年10月20日至22日，第六届世界互联网大会在浙江省桐乡市乌镇举行。大会主题为“智能互联 开放合作——携手共建网络空间命运共同体”(Developing digital economy for openness and shared benefits--building a community of shared future in cyberspace)。本次大会将聚集“科学与技术”、“产业与经济”、“人文与社会”、“合作与治理”四大重点板块，共设20个分论坛，秉持开放、平等、互信、共赢(openness, equality, mutual trust and win-win situation)的理念，邀请全球互联网领军人物(leading figures)及重量级嘉宾共同探讨与回应当前国际社会对5G(the 5th generation wireless systems)、人工智能(AI)、物联网(Internet of Things)等新技术、新业态发展的深度关切。

【背景介绍】

    第六届世界互联网大会2019年10月20日在浙江乌镇开幕。国家主席习近平致贺信。习近平指出，各国应顺应时代潮流，勇担发展责任，共迎风险挑战，共同推进网络空间全球治理，努力推动构建网络空间命运共同体。 
President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the 6th World Internet Conference, which opened on October 20th, 2019 in the town of Wuzhen in east China's Zhejiang province. Countries should follow the trend of the times, shoulder the responsibility for development, meet the challenges and risks, jointly promote global governance in cyberspace and strive to build a community of shared future in cyberspace, Xi said.

     网络空间是人类共同的活动空间，网络空间前途命运应由世界各国共同掌握。各国应该加强沟通、扩大共识、深化合作，共同构建网络空间命运共同体。
Cyberspace is the common space of activities for mankind. The future of cyberspace should be in the hands of all countries. Countries should start up communications, broaden consensus and deepen cooperation, to jointly build a community of shared future in cyberspace.
