       上海合作组织是第一个以中国城市命名的国际组织。该组织成立于2001年，有6个创始成员国，分别是：中国、俄罗斯、哈萨克斯坦、吉尔吉斯斯坦、乌兹别克斯坦和塔吉克斯坦。2017年，印度和巴基斯坦成为组织成员。上合组织成员国约占世界陆地面积的四分之一、总人口的40%。上合组织的宗旨是维护地区和平、安全、稳定，促进地区繁荣。成员国坚持互信、不结盟、互不干涉内政等原则。多年来，上合组织在打击恐怖主义、分裂主义和极端主义的合作中取得成功。
       Shanghai Cooperation Organization is the first international organization named after a Chinese city. SCO was established in 2001 with 6 founding members: China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. In 2017, India and Pakistan became SCO members. SCO member states cover one fourth of the planet’s land territory and represent about 40% of the world’s population. The purposes of SCO are maintaining regional peace, security and stability, and promoting prosperity within the region. Member states uphold the principles of mutual trust, non-alignment, and non-interference in each other’s internal affairs. Over the past years, the cooperation of SCO in combating terrorism, separatism and extremism has proven to be successful.

       加强人文交流。文明在交流中融合，在融合中进步。我们要深化教育、科技、文化、卫生、媒体、广电等领域合作，继续办好青年交流营、妇女论坛、民间友好论坛、传统医学论坛等品牌活动，支持上海合作组织睦邻友好合作委员会等民间机构发挥应有作用。
       We need to enhance people-to-people and cultural exchanges. Exchanges promote integration among civilizations, which, in turn, enables civilizations to advance. We should deepen cooperation in such areas as education, science and technology, culture, health, media, radio and television, ensure the continued success of signature programs such as the youth exchange camp, the women’s forum, the forum on people-to-people friendship and the forum on traditional medicine, and support the SCO Committee on Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation and other non-official organizations in playing their due roles.  
       中方将建设中国－上海合作组织冰雪体育示范区，明年举办减贫与可持续发展论坛、友好城市论坛，未来3年为本组织国家的民众免费实施2000例白内障手术，提供5000个人力资源培训名额。
      China will build a China-SCO ice and snow sports demonstration zone and host the SCO forums on poverty reduction and sustainable development and on sister cities next year. In the next three years, China will carry out 2,000 free cataract operations for SCO member states and provide 5,000 human resources training opportunities for them.
